I love this quick and easy air fryer roasted chick peas recipe for a garnish on soups, salads, risotto- the sky is the limit. I especially love it on my autumn Butternut Squash Soup. The clean up is simple and easy using the air fryer over traditional baking. Plus, it provides the same output in half the time with less work. Any air fryer works, but we use this air fryer.

You can season these with any spice that you like- but this is my favorite combination: garlic, paprika, turmeric and salt. My mother and great grandmother would shun me if I didn’t articulate the difference of Hungarian paprika. Hungarian paprika is not smoked, but slightly sweet and provides a distinctive flavor that I love. Great Grandma Kate says that a true Hungarian knows to keep the paprika in the refrigerator… so I would be remiss if I didn’t take this opportunity to pass on advice from the old country. Our preferred brand is szeged, found on Amazon or gourmet grocery stores. Play with the seasonings and see what you love best!
